Overview

Located in the heart of Sevilla on C. Castilla, Lola Cacerola presents itself as a charming and authentic dining destination that captures the essence of Andalusian cuisine. This restaurant carved out its niche by offering a mix of traditional dishes and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for those seeking both vibrant flavors and a memorable experience overlooking the river.

The menu shines with regional favorites like Rabo de Toro (bull tail stew), a rich and hearty dish that resonates deeply with local culinary traditions. Equally notable are the Ensaladilla con Huevo Frito, a refreshing Spanish classic elevated by the crispy fried egg, and the succulent Costillas Deshuesadas al Pedro Ximénez, where tender pork ribs are expertly braised with the sweet, dark sherry sauce characteristic of the region.

For a well-rounded experience, the tapas options such as Alcachofas con Jamón and Chipirones a la Plancha invite diners to savor fresh, seasonal ingredients in a casual style. The house drinks, including the beloved Sangria and Rebujito, perfectly complement the flavors and set a convivial tone.

The space itself is welcoming, with a cozy interior and an inviting terrace that faces the river. This location appeals greatly to those who wish to unwind, enjoy the view, and soak in some authentic Andalusian ambiance. However, it’s fair to note that the pace of service can occasionally lag, a detail pointed out by some guests. This nuance suggests that Lola Cacerola is better suited for leisurely meals where time is embraced rather than rushed.

The staff’s attentiveness and warmth often leave a lasting impression, creating a personal connection that enhances the dining experience. One cannot overlook the added cultural charm of their flamenco performances after 10 p.m., offering guests an emotional and immersive encounter with Spain’s artistic heritage right at their table.

In essence, Lola Cacerola appeals to food lovers eager to explore traditional Andalusian dishes, paired with excellent local wines and classic cocktails, in a picturesque setting. It is ideal for visitors looking to savor authentic flavors slowly, absorb the vibrant street views, and indulge in both culinary and cultural richness. For those short on time or seeking quick service, it might fall short. But for anyone wanting to linger in Sevilla’s culinary heart, Lola Cacerola delivers a soulful and sincere experience.

A rather shaky start when we got there. But I think that was down to me having no Spanish and the staff having no English. But once we got over that little hurdle ..... The food was sublime. The wine excellent. Highly recommended.

You're honestly there for the view. The food is very whatever. I'd recommend just grabbing a drink here. Ox tail was better than the tuna "salad".

Honestly, didn't like it much. The views to the river (in case you sit at the terrace) are very nice and food was tasty, but the service and kitchen must improve. They took more than one hour to bring all our dishes. Besides, there was a long waiting time between dishes. Therefore, it is good if you just want to chill and have some drinks and tapas in front of the river, but not recommended if you are short in time.

Great place, very cozy and food is so delicious. Especially stews. All the waiters are caring and attentive. We loved every minute at this restaurant and returned the next day again. There is a flamenco show after 22 p.m. Unforgettable performance, it touched my heart so much that I had even tears in my eyes. And I do understand only every third word in Spanish language :))

Excellent food and friendly waiter. The service was a bit slow, but not too bad for Spain. We enjoyed the artichokes and the scrumptious bull tail! Both suggestions of our waiter

Really nice decor, makes you feel comfortable. I had some of the Potatas bravas, the Presa Ibérica and Croquettes. The Presa was very tasty, as was the Bravas, and the Croquettes just OK. We were part of a group and the plates were very big, so bare that in mind when ordering. Price was reasonable for the amount you get.
